The German-Baltic Future Foundation (DBJW)Â promotes exchange and mutual understanding among young people from Germany, the Baltic States, and beyond, emphasizing the principles of democracy, rule of law, and human rights. Through its offices in Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, and Germany, DBJW organizes seminars, congresses, conferences, internships, and scholarships while fostering cross-border networks.
We are seeking a freelance Conference Coordinator for the preparation and execution of the German-Baltic Conference (GBC) in October 2025 in Riga.

Your Responsibilities:
Â
Conference Coordination:
Lead the organization of GBC 2025.
Coordinate a team of four conference directors responsible for content, logistics, GBYEN programme, and regional coordination plus volunteers.
Develop the conference concept in cooperation with the DBJW team.
Oversee the planning and implementation.
Oversee the invitation list and smooth communication with participants.
Event Management:
Ensure the flawless execution of the conference, troubleshooting as needed.
Liaise with our country offices and partners.
Supervise marketing and public relations efforts in consultation with the Head of Communication.
Administrative and Financial Oversight:
Manage the conference budget in close cooperation with the Director Logistics
Prepare a detailed conference evaluation and project report following the event.

Your Profile:
Proven experience in project coordination, event management, or similar roles.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
Proficiency in English; knowledge of German is advantageous.
Enthusiasm for international youth exchange and the Baltic region.

Contract Details:
Service contract until December 31, 2025, funded by the Federal Foreign Office based on a decision by the German Bundestag.
Remuneration of up to EUR 4.950 (33 working days, EUR 150 per working day)
