Loan
In 2014, the German-Baltic Future Foundation took over the work of the Birk Fund , which has been supporting people with German-Baltic roots and people from the Baltic States since 1956. The Birk Fund supports needy Baltic Germans and their families for the purpose of vocational training, further education and support. In addition, nationals of the Baltic States can be supported to an extent that is reviewed annually if they
-
are in training in Germany
-
are involved in research or promotion of German-Baltic cultural assets or
-
deal with the relations between the Baltic States and Germany
If the last two conditions also apply to Germans of non-Baltic origin, funding is also possible.
To receive a loan from the Birk Fund, borrowers need two guarantors. Applications for a loan can be sent by email to the managing director Tatjana Vollers .
Thanks to our generous sponsors and partners, we have already been able to award over 250 loans and 60 scholarships.
